How often do I get wine?
Four times a year February, May, September, and December. Just enough to keep things exciting without overwhelming your wine rack.
What’s the commitment?
Just four shipments. Bail before that, and there’s a $100 fee. However, we are confident that you will want to stay a while anyways.
How do I cancel my membership or skip a shipment?
Email or call us. Thats the only way. No letters. No smoke signals. And do it before processing starts once it’s rolling, it’s locked in. Also, no skipping back-to-back releases. You can reach us at wineclub@slatetheory.com or (830) 998-8306 ext. 3.
Can I hit pause on my membership?
Yep, life happens. Send us an email, and we’ll take it case-by-case.
What is the cancellation policy for the Production Tour / Cave tasting?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you let us know within the 24-hour period, we can provide a full refund. Reach out to us at info@slatetheory.com.

What are the club levels?
Our club is divided into three levels: Id (Variety or Red), which includes 4 bottles, 4 times a year; Ego (Variety or Red), which offers 6 bottles, 4 times a year; and Super-Ego, our most customizable tier, featuring 12 bottles, 4 times a year with total freedom to choose your lineup.
Do all clubs get the good stuff?
Hell yes—all club levels get the good stuff. No matter where you land, you’re in the inner circle. That means exclusive perks like discounts on wine, merch, and experiences; free tastings or glasses for you and a guest every time you show up; early access to new releases and rare Library Wines; invites to member-only events; and access to our chill-as-hell Member Lounge—far from the bachelorette madness.
Can I customize my club packages?
If you’re a 12-bottle Super-Ego member, go wild—you pick. For 4- and 6-bottle members shipping out, we send you defaults— curated by us pros. But if you swing by the winery to pick up, you unlock the real perk: on-site swaps. Taste, trade, and lock in your favorites before you go. You pay for the default package upfront, and we’ll settle the difference once you finalize your choices.

Do I get invited to events?
Of course. From laid-back events to full-blown wine-fueled pickup parties, you’re on the guest list. Higher club levels receive more complimentary tickets per release.
When and how do I RSVP?
We’ll email you about a month before the event with a link to reserve tickets. Be sure to reserve for your full group, and sign into your Member account—your complimentary tickets will auto-apply to the full order (tickets are $20 each for additional guests).
What’s the VIP Soiree?
It’s our special, more exclusive party for The Institution’s VIPs. Think luxe vibes, rare pours, and excellent company. Super-Ego members get an invite, as well as any members who have been with us for a long period of time.
What’s the Member Lounge?
It’s the exclusive members-only retreat at the winery—where you can enjoy your benefits, get lost in Cody’s art, post up at the bar or kick back in a lounge chair, and vibe with fellow Slate Theory insiders. Set inside our reimagined original tasting room, featuring a polished, private library stocked with past vintages and deep Slate Theory lore, it’s the spot members crave—a place that feels like home. Where do you ship?
We’re currently shipping to: AZ, CA, CO, FL, IN, KY, LA, MN, NM, NV, OK, OR, TX, and WA. Don’t see your state? Hit us up—we’ll work our magic to get you in the club and keep you in the loop the moment we can ship your way.
Do I need to be home to receive my wine?
Yep. An adult has to sign for it. No exceptions. Wine is classy, it doesn’t show up unannounced and shouldn’t be abandoned on a porch.
What happens if I miss the delivery?
UPS will try three times. After that, it comes back to us. We can resend it for a small fee or hold it for pickup at your request.
Any pro tips for getting it delivered smoothly?
Ship to your workplace or a UPS pickup spot if your porch is usually lonely during the day.
When do you ship out orders?
Typically Monday-Wednesday, weather permitting. That way your wine doesn’t spend the weekend lost in a warehouse party it didn’t sign up for.
