Wander through the corridors of our production facility and descend into the shadows of our subterranean wine cellar. Along the way, you’ll sip from four of our handcrafted wines and uncover the strange and storied origins of Slate Theory- a tale equal parts philosophy, madness, and meticulous craftsmanship.

A Symposium In Stone
Beneath the earth, you’ll take your seat at a private table deep within our active cellar. Here, a tasting of four of our current releases will be poured as you absorb the atmosphere- half ritual, half reverie.

An Experience for the Mind and Senses
Begin your communal journey with an Amuse Bouche pairing amid the steel and oak of our production facility. Then descend into the cool hush of our cavernous cellar, where an intimate tasting bay awaits. There, indulge in a thoughtfully composed four-wine and culinary pairing—each plate and pour selected to provoke thought and pleasure in equal measure. Your journey culminates with a tank tasting and a final offering of wine and chocolate, paired with intention and precision.

Step into the archives
FRIDAYS ONLY.
In this intimate experience, our winemaker guides Institution Members through four rare selections pulled from Slate Theory’s library collection. Each bottle carries its own story of time, patience, and evolution- a fleeting glimpse into the depths of our library. The tastings are Winemaker’s choice and will change monthly. Only a single bottle of each wine is available for purchase, making this tasting not just exclusive, but unrepeatable. (Complimentary tastings DO NOT apply. Member discounts apply.)

Enjoy a four-pour tasting, glass, or bottle in our Tasting Room surrounded by art created by our in-house artist/owner.
First come, first serve. No reservations can be made for the Tasting Room.
Pricing for tastings:
White: $25/person
Mixed: $30/person
Red: $35/person
Last call for a tasting is 30 minutes before closing.
Last call for glass/bottle service is 15 minutes before closing.
Reservations are not required for tasting room or patios.

Sun-Thurs: 12pm-5pm
Fri-Sat: 11am-6pm
Kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing.
/ Frequently Asked Questions /
Are minors/children allowed?
Yes, they are allowed in our tasting room, but not on production tours or in the cave. They must be under adult supervision at all times.
Do you allow pets?
We allow pets on our outside patio. Only ADA service animals are allowed in the tasting room. Unfortunately, due to health regulations, we cannot allow pets in our production facility, which would include production tours / cave tastings.
Do you allow outside food or drinks?
No outside drinks (either containing alcohol or not) or food are allowed.
Can I bring non-alcoholic beer/wine?
Our TABC permit only allows for our wine on our premises.
What is the cancellation policy for the Production Tour / Cave tasting?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you let us know within the 24-hour period, we can provide a full refund. Reach out to us at info@slatetheory.com.
Do I have to pay a deposit for people who aren’t drinking on the Production tour / Cave tasting?
Yes, we do require a deposit to be put down for those who are not drinking. It does not apply to any of the remaining charges.
I’m running late. How late can I be for my reservation?
Our production tours can wait 5 minutes, and the cave tasting can arrive no later than 15 minutes after the reservation time.
Do you give away your glasses with a tasting?
No, our tasting fees do not cover complimentary glass, but glasses and other merchandise are available for purchase.
